The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can remove pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or merge rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station check here that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific path.

The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners require.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel includes a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
