The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to identify your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button. You can choose an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors better than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is that it does not have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleared out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining.
